dont waiste the chex mix

An empty baggie that once had chex mix in it, chex mix currently is getting sucked up by the little guy.  A fork (spork) - why arent they called a foon? Two purple flip flops, four little feet and a naked babe.  Some random pair of sunglasses that were found on the side of the road...yuck, probably should throw those away.

ZZzzZZzzZZ...

Clean floor - check, vacuum - check.  Then this is when it all falls apart so quickly!  The 4 year old decided she was going to change to go swimming in the living room, so her clothes are there.  After a log jog and walk with the family - the little man is quietly sleeping on his wooly.  He looks so big there sleeping away in his Cardinal gear (daddy dressed him today)! I think I am going to do a little test with my little lady - see how long it takes for her to pick the clothes up.  Who am I kidding - Ill drop them down the shoot as soon as I am done here!

welll....

Well other than my tired self...nothing should be on the floor.  It was clean during the weekend - hahah we weren't home.  Now is a different story.  a pillow - no make that two, a rubbermade full of clean clothes, a flipped over stool (new 1 year old game).  All of that covers the entire floor!

In the dark...

Everything on the floor ends up being a toy for a teether...travel size toothpaste, one little mans white sock, bracelet....Owwww! plastic bracelets are like stepping on a headband.  A hammer, a leftover container wedged under the recliner (leftovers from the band that was played earlier on it.) I cannot see them, but I am sure there are plenty of fins, heads and fish parts from the cracker fish that were dumped then soaked up the water on the floor from an ice cube. I am laughing at myself....If someone random reads this and doesn't know my humor - they are going to think I am a slob with water and food all over my floor.  Might be true, but I was busy today, reading books, water coloring and building towers all day.  While doing all that today I managed to make dinner, change diapers, dry the tears of an exhausted little lady, nurse a babe and washed diapers.  But that is what moms do! EVERYTHING!

Nope, no Easter Grass on this floor - NEVER

5 years ago the hubs and I said that we were a no Easter Grass family...so I have stuck to it...but...... There is still that nasty Easter Grass on the floor.  The vacuum doesn't pick it up, the husband doesn't pick it up, only the little guy picks it up. It is the only thing that he doesn't put in his mouth  - that has to mean something.  It is kind of like the tinsel of Easter. :)
I vacuumed three times today, maybe four - at any rate, just a few pieces of the forbidden material and a random strawberry stain.
Happy Easter to all.  God bless the the houses with Easter Grass - and enjoy picking it up all year long. (ha ha..hear the sarcasm there?)   Then that puts another spin on the symbolism of Easter Grass...is it there to remind of  Easter all year long??? Hmm something to ponder!

Huge Pink Crayon

Havent had anything on my living room floor in a while.... hahah!! Just kidding - started new hobbies and life in general got crazy - and.....too much to list what was on the living room floor!
Two adult black dress socks (at least it is a pair). Clothes from the changing station - you know the game empty, played by a 13 month old! A water bottle, dripping slowly, a cow flashlight.  The most important thing on the floor (A naked baby that needs his momma to put his jammies on - is what I was going to say) but now there is a puddle! Happy Thursday everyone - Now ya have little glimpse into my life that I love!
Cheers!

land mines

Well the little guy has begun to eat the Puffs...But then again I am not sure he eats them or drops them!! At any rate, we call them land mines here....walking around in sock feet then all of a sudden...CRUNCH under the feet.  In addition to the land mines...this week - we had some puke, melted snow and some artificial tree parts.  Currently we have a pink bowl,  slipper with a hole in it, a lot of foam blocks and 1/8 measuring cup...is their really a recipe that calls for 1/8 of a cup of something?  Enlighten me if you know of a recipe.  Well the stomp on the ceiling, coming from upstairs is my calling to dress the babes for night after their well needed bath.
Stay warm you midwesterners...it is cold out there! But if it is going to be cold...bring on the snow.  Speaking of cold: I was reprimanded twice today when I was in the Deli getting bagels.  One by a older lady that said I should stay inside all day today with my babes and the other was her husband wanting to carry the bagels for me to the car.  Hello they were at least 80 I mean at least 80 years old...shouldnt they be inside??  Nice of them to think of be dragging a girl with bed head into the Deli....just so she could have a bagel.  Crazy what a mom does:) But all very worth it!
